I would not purchase from this dealership. The vehicle I purchased had structural damage, broken items, and I'm pretty sure it would not have passed MD state inspection had the dealerships employees not conducted the inspection in house.
These guys are fantastic, never once pushed me into buying a car, let me take all day (and I mean it, 9 hours) to pick a car that I liked, and they easily have the greatest deals in the area. Everything is so upfront, from prices to service. And all employees are incredibly kind and professional. Recommend to anyone in the used car market.
I did have a pleasant buying experience at Ron's and feel I got a good deal. Dave is a good and enthusiastic salesman who delivered on his word and Evan, who secured financing and closed the deal, is fantastic. However, that's where the "good" ends.
They his chipped paint by screwing on a advertising plate to the front of the vehicle.
Was not sure as Ron's is 1 hour and 30 min from my home, but the process was well worth it. I reseatched the vehicle, asked lots of questions. Dave Warder was patient and answered all my questions. I was upfront with what I was looking for, and Dave made it work. I was still hesitant, but once I was ready to see the car, Dave Warder was great and sent a driver to pick me up. After the purchase I noticed some things that needed fixing, I made sure I brought this to their attention and they provided a loaner until the SUV was ready. Within 2 days all issues were resolved and the tags were also on my SUV. My family loves the car and we are pleased. Kudos to Scott the owner, Dave, Ricky, and the staff.
The bad and the ugly: When I bought the Jeep they assured me that they had gone through the car, changed the oil, performed MD inspection, etc. I discovered that my jeep was leaking oil from the oil filter about six weeks after purchase. I just visited Ron's service department to pick up my new car tag and a part that Dave had promised me at the time of sale. The lady at the service desk was confused that I didn't want the shop to put the new part in and I told her that I would rather pay to have my mechanic put on than have Ron's service do it and explained why. All she did was give me a blank look, say "OK" and walk away to get the part. No apology, no offer to make it right, nothing.
Just picked up my truck today... Love it.. My salesman was Tim a really great guy to deal with No hassles Great sense of Humor Didn't drag his feet with anything very quick and easy transaction.. Never once tried to sell me something I didn't want just to make a commission. Everyone there we dealt with from sales to tag and title were awesome. Thanks Guys for a pleasurable experience.
Worst of all, I purchased my car February 2nd. They still haven't sent me my plates. I gave them the plate from my old car to perform a PA title transfer. I called in May and they didn't know where my plate was. They don't know what they're doing here.
I'd really like to be able to recommend Ron's, as they have a very good selection of cars, but based on "service" in the future I can say that I for one will go elsewhere.
Avoid this place.
